After 5 years with the Hutchinson Police Department spending most of my time as a patrol officer, and an instructor of DV (’16), Defensive Tactics (’17), Taser and O.C. (’18); I left the department and became a victim advocate for domestic violence, and sexual assault victims for a non-profit organization in 2020 to 2021.

After a year of being a victim advocate, I accepted a job at the South Hutchinson Police department where I worked as a patrol officer and was the DV instructor for the department for just over two years. I put together a workout cycle for my department that officers could implement for a fitness routine focusing on muscular and cardiovascular endurance.

In 2021, I became one of 5 police officers in the nation trained on the CortexFlo Camera system, which is used to document physical evidence of DV and sexual assault victims.

From 2021 to 2023, I also created and taught a flexibility and mobility class for officers as well. This was a 6-hour class devoted to the importance of correct movement for first responders.
